Of course. Why wouldn’t you be?

I thought I saw somewhere a while back to avoid whippy ice cream!!

some form of bacteria or something I think!

My midwife told me to avoid whippy ice cream from the vans, but didn’t specifically mention McDonald’s. Like you said, she said it’s to do with the bacteria. But, from limited research after that, the NHS don’t mention it and I would have thought somewhere like McDonald’s would need to have better/rigorous cleaning procedures, which an ice cream van might not have.
I figure if it was a hard no, it would be in the guidelines.

thank you! I was googling like mad but couldn’t find anything solid. Im desperate for that new biscoff one 😂

It’s just the whippy vans because the machines don’t get hot enough to kill the bacteria as Macdonalds and Toby carvery etc machines are on over night they get hot enough to kill bacteria. They also use pasteurised products too xxx

I did with both my girls, was fine xx

I’ve had them. Says they are made with pasteurised milk on the website x

I didn't with my first but I'm now pregnant with my second and have had McFlurry and ice cream from a van and everything is fine (:

As someone who has worked in a McDonald’s you couldn’t pay me to have a McFlurry after seeing those machines and how often they break down and just the general cleanliness of them, it could have just been my branch but based on other stories from people who worked at multiple branches 95% of the employees do not have them and the newbies stop having them within a month of working there 😂 I really wouldn’t risk it when I was pregnant but that’s just me 😅

My midwife specifically said the guidance had changed since having my last child and I was not allowed McDonald's ice cream or milkshakes.

FTM and i’m so anxious about the glucose test

Could really use some support or reassurance from people. i’m a very anxious person and i’ve been experiencing high anxiety for a lot of my pregnancy.
what was the glucose test like for you? do you have any suggestion that might make it easier for me?
i’m scared it will make me puke (haven’t puked at all through my whole pregnancy, some first trimester nausea but nothing since 14 weeks)
please be kind and don’t tell me worst case scenarios because that will make me spiral. i’m already aware of the worst possible outcomes anyways (thanks anxiety)

Anxiety

So I will be 34 weeks pregnant Monday. 🥰I have terrible anxiety and am diagnosed with it, last 2-3 weeks I have gotten dizzy and light headed and my heart rate has been 126 or higher.. they said I have low iron because I am anemic which is true. I’m just so tired of feeling like this, like my heart is going to explode and I can’t control it. I currently have to go have iron infusions which I had to with my first one. I’m underweight for being 33 weeks pregnant 😒 I just feel like the anxiety is so much harder to control while pregnant and your mind wonders so much when your pregnant and every time it happens I think something is instantly wrong when I know it’s just anxiety.
I have a little girl that’s almost 16 months and I can barely do anything with her because I feel so tired and light headed 90% of the time. How do you mommas deal with the anxiety ?. How do you make your mind relaxed and know that everything is okay ?.

What are you most glad you and your partner talked about before having kids?

I did a post asking what you wished you talked about before babies arrived as we're deciding on having a baby.
Quite a few comments said they felt talking didn't really help because plans change so much, but wondering if there IS anything you are really glad you talked through 🤔

Other/suggestions in comments!
