Toddler not nursing but still obsessed with the boob

I weaned my toddler a couple of months ago but he still loves to cuddle and touch my boobs. 🙄Will he be jealous when I breastfeed my new baby? Shall I wean him off cuddling before the baby arrives?

I don’t really think you should wean him off cuddling as such as you should always be cuddling your children as they grow up but maybe just try to explain that he’s growing up now and boobs are for babies to feed on etc that’s why he doesn’t get it anymore

thanks for your reply! Sorry I meant to say “cuddling the boobs” , don’t think I’ll wean off cuddling ever😂

Toddlers are still young and their instincts are to keep feeding until their immune system is fully developed (when their first tooth falls out). They gain comfort from the breasts.

If there is a medical or more exclusive reason to not breastfeed him (WHO states 2years and beyond minimum - world average is 4yo) then maybe get a nursing necklace for him to twiddle or a small teddy blanket hold. That way he will get the comfort he needs 🙂

but the correct thing to do is whatever is right for one’s family and has said she has already weaned - it is up to mum aswell!! I personally won’t be feeding my baby until she’s 4 but everyone’s different xx

I never said Val needed to start feeding again. I was metely explaining why it is natural that toddlers will be drawn to the breasts. Some people often recommend punishing or aggressive methods to prevent toddlers being drawn to the breasts.

If 4yrs is too much for you then fine, again merely stating biological norms. Any of the natural term breastfeeders I have spoken to have never set out to feed to 4yrs+, it just kind of happened as they just lived day to day.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! đŸ€ŁđŸ€Ą

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
