Maternity clothes or up a size?

Hi ladies. I'm 15 weeks and cannot fit into any of my normal clothes. Do you have any recommendations for wether I should up a clothing size or start in maternity wear? If so any good places to shop?

I only bought leggings in maternity and sized everything else up, 30 weeks and that’s still working for me😂

I only bought leggings and jeans in maternity x

I bought maternity leggings and biker shorts from H&M. Other than than, I wore loose clothing like my boyfriends shirts and shorts and sweats. 😂

Same as above, with my first I just got leggings and jeans in maternity and sized up in anything else that I needed 😊 maternity wear can be so expensive x

Maternity clothes. I found sizing up to just be baggy.

I have loads left over from before - found river island the best for jeans, got a few tops from new look, boohoo and shein

I just invested in the basics like leggings and jeans. I knew I would be really big in summer so I also got some stretchy bodycon dresses and maternity summer shorts for the heat and they have been great. I mainly live in drawstring shorts and a nursing bra now 😴

Mostly sized up / chose styles that suited my body with a bump! All of my usual places - H&M, ASOS etc. I bought some maternity jeans and a few stretchy tank dresses from Shein too.

Dresses are so fun! Maxi and wrap dresses have been my staple. Can grow and they still fit! Do your own research but I read SheIn has been found to have lead in their products 😔 natural fibers are the best always

what are SHEIN sizes like? X

Unexpected c -section

I labored for weeks, went into active labor for 20 hours, pushed for 3 hours and failed to have a vaginal birth. They said my pelvis was too small for her big head. I personally think I wasn’t dilated enough and they wanted to rush me. Our bodies are made for birth. If you can afford a doula get one, and spend the last few weeks stretching, drinking okra water, and having sex!

I didn’t feel anything while in surgery, and my scar is really small. Healing the first couple weeks was brutal, but you get through it. Ask for help! Prepare meals, order meals, or have someone cook for you. It’s been 3 months and the scar is hardly noticeable! Baby is healthy, and happy❤️ that’s all that matters!

On the final stretch.. How we feeling ladies?

Not long left to go for our May babies ladies!!! I’m 35 weeks now and I’m honestly so over being pregnant at this point everything hurts, I’m restless and always uncomfortable and quite frankly just not enjoying these last few weeks at alllllll! Baby girl has been head down since 32 weeks and always pressing on my bladder so the constant peeing is another added extra and don’t even get me started on the lightning crotch!!!

How is everyone else feeling?

(Cheeky little bump update) people keep saying it looks like my bump has dropped but I really don’t see or feel like it has at all so not sure what others are seeing 🤷🏽‍♀️

C section overnight stay and a toddler

I will have an elective c section for my second baby (same as my first).

With my first, my partner stayed with me in the hospital overnight and helped me a lot with the baby so I had a pretty smooth recovery and was up and running 5 days postpartum.

Now, we need to decide if we should ask family members to come over (from abroad) and help with our toddler or we try to do the coordination/ management ourselves.

The hospital is only a 10 minute drive from our place and during the day my toddler will be at nursery (and my partner will be with me). I think I can handle 1-2 nights by myself at the hospital with the baby but I’m little concerned how would I lift the baby on day 1 given I will have a catheter. I don’t want to solely be relying on midwives. And if I fall asleep during the night, I’m also a bit worried about nobody looking after the baby.

You would think I would remember how it was the first night with my first but it’s all a blur.

What would you recommend if you had 2 c-sections and the same situation? Did you ask family to help?

Thanks!

Scan at 40+ weeks, anyone had a later scan?

Hi guys, I’ve got a scan booked in with the NHS to ensure my placenta is working well and baby is okay. For a bit of a back story, on Monday early hours I went to triage as baby wasn’t moving too much. They monitored me, all was well with his movements and heart beat in the end, but ended up seeing a doctor as she wanted to talk about inducing me. I said no to induction, however agreed to a sweep (I think I’ve lost my mucus plug and have been having slight contractions, but nothing major), so have another sweep booked at 41 weeks and induction booked for 41+1 weeks. Has anyone been in a similar situation and had a scan later in pregnancy due to similar circumstances? I’m kinda nervous for this scan out of all the ones I have had previous. I am considered low risk and have been throughout the pregnancy x
