Unexpected c -section

I labored for weeks, went into active labor for 20 hours, pushed for 3 hours and failed to have a vaginal birth. They said my pelvis was too small for her big head. I personally think I wasn’t dilated enough and they wanted to rush me. Our bodies are made for birth. If you can afford a doula get one, and spend the last few weeks stretching, drinking okra water, and having sex!

I didn’t feel anything while in surgery, and my scar is really small. Healing the first couple weeks was brutal, but you get through it. Ask for help! Prepare meals, order meals, or have someone cook for you. It’s been 3 months and the scar is hardly noticeable! Baby is healthy, and happy❤️ that’s all that matters!

They’re rushing people out for the beds, the same happening in UK I’ve never heard of so many c sections. Minus 2 in our sensory group everyone else was c section! Something ain’t right but at least they’re here and they’re safe, congrats mama

I was 1cm for 12 hours and they advised me to have a C-section too. I bled after my C-section which resulted in me having blood transfusions. My baby was also big with a larger than average head. But like you said baby is here safely ❤️

I was 9.5cm dilated and all I remember were doctors coming in and checking my cervix so often and there was so much blood (apparently no haemorrhage) but they said her head was too big for me to birth so was whisked for a c section … happens so much !

I progressed from a 3-6 pretty wuick but stalled there. But throughout that progression my baby was having dips with every contraction and I had been bleeding since contractions started so they suggested a c section and I said awesome let’s get this baby out! Cause I think I was less scared of getting cut open than I was of having to push a baby out at that point😂😂 I do think his head wasn’t at a great position which would have made pushing harder if we got there. But he was 8 lbs 7 oz and glad to come through the sunroof. His face was also very cute immediately and not all squish and squashed. I liked that

Omg I had one too I was in labor I was dialated to 9 but contractions where so bad me and baby where in destress so bad had to turn around and do a c section then her heart rate kept messing up so it had to happen asap but I could feel everything while they were prepping and I had to get put under and unfortunately her dad couldn’t even go in to watch. But him and my grandma had some time together with her bc I was still alseep

I feel for you one C-section, mama another, my labor was 25 1/2 hours and I didn’t dilate passive 2 cm and a part of me felt pushed, but my other two births were v-bac. Focus on your healing. You are amazing. Don’t let anyone tell you any different.

C-Section Infection

I'm almost 4 months postpartum and had a cat2 C-Section. Everything seemed fine when we had gotten home and then where the incision is became infected. Treated it with antibiotics from the doctors and it cleared up. After that it started to open up slightly in places and got infected again. More antibiotics and the openings closed but the infection stayed. I presumed it was just with it being underneath the overhang of my stomach and with the weather being so warm that it was just getting sweaty which was causing it. I got more antibiotics and a steroid/fungal cream which I've been using for a few weeks now but it still has a smell and looks red in places. Any advice before the doctors try to give me more antibiotics? I clean the area multiple times a day and let it air-dry as well as continuous use of the cream🫠

Considering a c section

I need the mamas that have had a c section done. I’m done having kids after this baby (I’ll have two after this one is born) my 2 year old was a vaginal birth. I’m tryna weigh out the pros and cons on having a c section. I wanna know your experiences, how long you were in the hospital for, what your recovery time was before you felt physically “normal” again like had no pain. Now I understand everybody is different with healing and pain tolerance. I just wanna get everyone’s opinion. Also if I were to have a c section would they do the tubal ligation right then and there or would I have to come back to get it done.

Percentile accuracy

I’m 34 weeks and bump was measuring on the 90th percentile! My midwife has tried to reassure me this doesn’t mean a big baby, so does anyone have clarity on why they measure bump if it means nothing?

Reduced movement

Hey. I was just thinking. What is considered as reduced movement? Assuming you normally feel your baby move 5 times a day. If they moved just 2 times on one day, 4 times the next, once the following day but next to 5 the day after. Is that reduced movement or irregular movement? At what point exactly do you call triage?

First baby

I am on first day of 6th week today, stupidly enough i fear something will
Be wrong since i dont have nausea at all, no other symptom other that gentle cramping / pulling sensation in lower abdomen. Does anyone have same symptoms? When should i book my first scan any suggestions 💕
