What happens at the first midwife booking appointment?

I’m nine weeks pregnant on Monday and have my booking appointment on Monday, what can I expect? did anyone receive a scan at this appointment?

No scan, just bloods taken, urine sample, blood pressure, carbon monoxide test and lots of health questions. You’re given your notes and stuff which is to be taken to each appointment, and just assessed whether you’re high/low risk. Xx

I only got a phone call today and I'm 8 weeks they said a letter will be sent out when I'm 12 weeks for my scan x

I just had mine and it took an hour and a half but I've had two previous pregnancies, one with a somewhat difficult labour and I have a medical condition.
They ask medical history, some questions about family medical history, I had blood tests, blood pressure and urine taken. She booked my 12 week scan, advised about things like aqua natal, checked I was taking the right vitamins etc, gave me masses of contact details. X

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

20week scan!!

i had my 20week scan yesterday, everything looked okay on baby and we found out the gender!! it’s a girl 🩷🩷. but they said that my placenta is too close to my pelvis and they need to do extra scans to check on it? has anyone else been told this?

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.
