So my LG is 6 months and has been having just puréed food for the last few weeks. She absolutely loves it but has started to bite down on the spoon as if she wants to actually ‘eat’ it. She loves eating her Ella’s Kitchen puffs.
Is this a sign I should start BLW and give her things she can hold and chew on?
Currently enjoying said puff.

I’ve been following the Charlotte Stirling Reed book and she says they can have finger food from the off if prepared right. We’re almost 2 weeks in and LO at first wasn’t sure on the finger foods but has been giving them a good chomp more recently (surprisingly broccoli was one of the best ones so far). The book suggests doing both so he’ll have something mashed or puréed depending on what it is and a few sticks of finger food so he can choose. The finger foods are also good dippers. We had potato dippers with spinach and egg (our first allergen) today 😊
