Moro reflex

Is anybody else’s babies Moro reflex still present? My baby still will not sleep without being swaddled 😔 I have tried everything but as soon as she dozes off her arms go flying and wakes herself up. I’ve read that the reflex should be gone by 4 months, she’s 4 months next week but no sign of it calming down at all, she’s also starting to show signs of rolling so I really need to get her out of her swaddle!

Mine is 14 weeks and still does this reflex quite a lot. Doesn't like being swaddled either xxx

Have you tried with just one arm out? That’s how I started, and with his left arm, which he uses less than the right one, seemed it would be safer that way 😅 had 3-4 nights like that and then both out. But his reflex is almost gone, so not sure if it’s any help

We’ve never swaddled my little one. The moment he goes down in his next to me, his arms slowly rise to either side of his head so when sleeping there it isn’t a problem.
He very much startles when sleeping in his pram though. I find when on the move it doesn’t wake him, only when the pram is stationary!
He’s 14 weeks and I had expected it to have gone by now. X

Yes ours is, I’ve read it should have gone by 6 months.

we tried one arm out for a week, and she did sleep but not amazingly like she normally does when swaddled, we’ve tried 2 arms tonight and as soon as she hits the crib her arms are flying :(

I could have written this post !
My LO is 4 months next Tuesday and we have to do contact naps in the day and he still has to be swaddled at night.
I have read about the transition with one arm thing but I'm anxious to try it as he still wakes up multiple times a night as it is and I need my sleep 🙈

aww my baby is 4 months on tuesday too! Honestly it’s a nightmare, I feel like I need to get her out the swaddle but she just doesn’t sleep properly without it!! Daytime she will nap in the pushchair or in her swing but I can’t move her to the crib unless she’s swaddled and she will only nap for about half an hour 😒 I’ve ordered a love to dream transition swaddle because I’ve heard a lot of people recommend them so I’ll give that a go, I have swaddles coming out my ears 🤣🤣🤣

Oh let me know how you get on with the transition swaddle!! My LO isn't showing signs of rolling yet so I have a few weeks so I'd be interested to see how you get on!

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
