Difficult breastfeeding?!

6.5 month old is becoming a nightmare to breastfeed 💔 she's kicking around and flinging herself off the boob, has a couple sucks then plays with her feet?!
I don't know what's going on but I worry she's not getting full feeds at the moment. She hardly ever just relaxes and has a full feed now.
Is anyone else having wrestling breastfeeding sessions🙃

Maybe she’s not getting enough milk, I had the same with my daughter about a month ago but I also felt my milk supply was dropping.

Mine is definitely being more tricky. I've found nursing beads helpful as it gives him something to focus on when feeding. Also taking him into a quiet room away from distractions helpful as well. I find he feeds most just before a nap or bedtime and just after he's woken as well. Anytime in-between that is a much shorter feed as he just wants to play and explore!

I second all of the above. My little girl didn’t feed for pretty much the whole day the other day because I was out and about and she was distracted by everything. She was okay, but I needed to find somewhere quiet and boring. Best way to know if they’re getting enough is regular wet nappies x

Mine does the same very distracted and my boobs are always on display 🥲 found going to a quite place helps her concentrate on feeding. Don't worry about them getting enough when they are hungry they will eat x

Sometimes singing q comfort song helps but relate to all of this.!

Same here. But I do notice when she’s properly hungry she will feed like normal. Other times she just snacks a bit, looks around, has a bit more. Normal albeit somewhat frustrating behaviour

I’m having the same and was really panicking yesterday as she hardly had any milk at all and I was worried she’d be hungry but she seemed content. I guess the solids are filling them up for longer? I just keep trying to offer sips of water to make sure she’s not dehydrated x

If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
