Colostrum syringes

Where has everyone got their colostrum syringes from? I meant to ask for some at my consultant appointment yesterday so I can start this weekend (36+3) but forgot. The only kits I’m aware of are the expert midwife which seems very expensive for not many syringes but concerned they won’t be sterile if I get them from somewhere like Amazon or are you support to sterilise them at home?

They should be sterile from amazon still but if you're worried you can sterilise them when you get them :) or go to a pharmacy and buy 1ml Syringes:) x

I got a pack of 25 syringes from Amazon and they work great

Your midwife can provide you with these if you ask.

Don’t buy the kits - you can get these plus extra syringes from your midwife if you ask for them

I won’t be seeing my midwife for another 2 weeks and I’m likely being induced not long after so I’ll have a look in my pharmacy and Amazon, thank you all!

Amazon do sterilised colostrum harvesting packs of 25 for around £5. I’ve used a mix of different ones on there but just makes sure they’re sterilised before use. The ones with the caps on are the easiest x

Amazon xx

You can get from midwife for free if you them up and ask. But equally I wouldn't worry about the amazon ones, I've heard they are sterile xx

Ring triage and check they have some then go get them from their. Our triage has loads in the waiting area, made up packs ready x

The Amazon ones are the same ones my midwife gave me 😊 they ate sterilised they come in individual packaging x

I got a pack free from the hospital because midwife forgot to bring them to my home visit appointment. But I'll probz get some from midwife when I see her next and I think they are free

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
