Her omnidirectional response is she’ll book a flight for the time I’m due with our baby. How do I kindly tell her I don’t want that? She’s stressed me out and will grab the baby all the time (as she did with my first) and I’d like to recover with my husband and newborn before letting her come.

Tell her straight, or give her a different due date 🤣 x

Can you ask her to hold off util you are further along and have more of an idea how the pregnancy and birth plans will go and that you’ll give her an ideal timeframe for when to visit so that it works as smoothly as possible for a visit?

Give a month later due date. I did that with everyone 😂
😂😂 month later due date sounds ideal. Thanks everyone!! 🥰

Tell her you struggled having enough alone time / healing and getting in a routine with your first
Or have your husband tell her 🤷🏻♀️

absolute genius! I wish I’ve done that!

Tell her your due date is 2 or 3 weeks later than it is

I'd have your husband talk to her. He can let her know "we're not going to have visitors for x weeks while we bond with baby and establish a routine but you're welcome to come y date." Boundary setting is so important!
yeah I agree she could be helpful however she isn’t lol she just wants to hold the baby and honestly what helped me the most was to hold my baby and have someone help me with the house or other kid. She doesn’t cook and wouldn’t clean our house even if we payed her 😅😂 she’s quite the personality. I’m going to stick with telling her my due date later if my husband doesn’t have a word with her before…. 😞
