Last two nights baby has started sleeping on her left side. She looks comfy and sturdy and she’s in her next to me where I can keep an eye on her. She can roll from her front to her back but not the other way just yet, though she is trying!
Shall I be rolling her on to her back? Or can I leave her?

Mines the same. I've been constantly rolling him back from his side to his back but it's exhausting! Following to see what others say.

Mines doing the same too! He used to sleep 6-6 and was perfect as a newborn! Now he wakes up all the time frustrated I don’t know whether he finds it frustrating that he can’t stay in one position

Can you try a rolled towel in front of her body to stop her rolling forward? (Not high enough to reach her face though)

Im literally the same i rolled her onto her back in the night but she rolled back over straight away haha

I’m not sure whether to roll him back unless he cries because I don’t want him to rely on it I want him to figure it out himself but I also terrified of SIDS

I’m in the same position except my LG can only roll back to front so she ends up on her side or stomach 😩 Lullaby Trust guidelines are a bit confusing for me in your case as on their website it says once they can roll both ways then you don’t need to move them, but on a safe sleep poster they’ve produced it says once they can roll front to back you don’t need to move.

thanks for this! When I look at her from above the cot she doesn’t look like her weight is fully on her side? But she’s flung her arm over with her if that makes sense!

Do not use a towel or blanket, that’s more dangerous than letting them just roll on their side x

Maybe me sleeps on her side since birth. Last week started sleeping in her front too. If they roll themselves, it's all good

I agree!

My girl has been sleeping on her side since around 12 weeks old (she’s now coming up 18 weeks) and for the first week I kept rolling her back but I wasn’t sleeping at all as well as regression so I gave in. She sleeps on her side every night and is absolutely fine, she was unhappy if I rolled her back 🤣 To be honest, sometimes she will start on her side and slowly roll on to her back herself anyway!

My LO has always slept on her side. Even if I rolled her back, she'd move. I asked the health visitor, and they said so long as I put her down on her back. If she rolls, it may have been how slept in the womb, so it's her comfy space. She's in a next to me crib, so I'm able to keep an eye.
