Are you going to give your child full fat cows milk or a milk alternative?
We drink lactose free or pat at home so wondering if I just give him what we drink

I drink oat milk but I’ll be giving her full fat cows milk once she turns 1. She will be drinking more than I do
So it won’t go to waste x

There's loads of info on milk on solid starts website including plant based alternatives.

I know all HV have contradicting thoughts and opinions but my health visitor and the dietician we are under have both said that milk because a comfort thing after 1 year and they should get their nutrients from food. Although may need some vitamins if having alternative milks☺️

solid starts is American based, so that may be different to what is recommended in the UK☺️xx

@Rachael, in uk, then Start4Life is our version
https://www.healthystart.nhs.uk/
This gives you the coupons for fresh fuit/veg and milk for toddlers and babies
There is also the links on the page for start4life and change4life, etc, for those interested
Start4life link gives you recipe ideals for weaning based on age groups also for any mums that are curious (I use it because I'll be honest, I wasn't the healthiest if eaters prior to pregnancy)
