I go back to work today. My LO is still waking up 2 times at night to BF. For all the moms who went back to work how are you surviving with the sleep deprivation. My plan was to be up at 5 so I can get ready before baby is up at 6/630. But he woke up at 4 .. so I nursed him. It’s 430. What’s the point of even going back to sleep 😭😭

My son still wakes up at least twice a night to nurse. I went back to work when he was 12 weeks old, he is now 19 weeks. What I’ve had to do is stick to an early bedtime for both of us. I normally get him down to bed at 7:30pm then spend time with my partner and get into bed by 9pm. Can I ask why you want to get ready before he is up? We normally both wake up at 5:45am/6am so I nurse him again and then he hangs out with me until I have to leave for work around 7:30am! Around 7:30am he’s ready for his nap so I pass him off to my partner who is staying home with him right now.
Also I recommend a lot of coffee. SO much coffee. Lol

So you will get used to it somehow lol, I know I did. My baby wakes up sometimes, and sleeps through the night sometimes. Try to do early bed time when possible. I mess up and stay late sometimes but if I go to sleep at a decent time I actually feel great.
Do you have flexibility at work or have to be in at same time every day?

I definitely agree you’ll get used to it eventually… my middle child didn’t sleep through the night until he was 2. He woke up 3-4 times a night most during the 12-18 month transition and I just went to work on one or two hours of sleep. Waking up twice really isn’t bad at this age. I recommend getting as much ready the night before instead of in the morning… pick out an outfit and have it ready, have coffee programmed, master a 10 min hair and makeup routine and just sleep as much as you can in the morning before you absolutely HAVE to get up
Thank you for the advice ❤️
I figured I would get up at 5 so I can get myself ready. He usually wake up at 6. He takes like 30 mins to eat or so and then I have to be out of the house by 710 😵💫

@Michelle This is exactly what I came to say! I exclusively pump, so I'm up by 5:30am to pump before little girl wakes up at 6am. Then I get ready for work with her.... coffee in hand 😆 My fiancé watches her as well while I'm at work so I hand her off as I'm walking out the door.
And yes... so much coffee to get through the day!
