We went in for our weekly check today with a c section scheduled for the 15th. Baby hasn't been as active the last 2 weeks as she had been so Dr decided today to bump up the c section for tomorrow. I'm trying to stay calm and the Dr had even prescribed anxiety meds as I am already anxious about having baby and the surgery. I'm freaking out more than I expected and the anxiety meds didn't help. I'm absolutely terrified. I have severe issues with pain and I thought we would have more time. I just don't know how to calm down or stop panicking.

Praying always work.

I'm not a religious person and back when I was it didn't. Thank you anyway though.

Try to think positively. I completely understand the anxiety as I’m an extremely anxious person myself. I would say think of first laying eyes on your baby and how amazing it will be to finally hold them in your arms! You got this Mama!

If doc really thought something was wrong you’d have had an emergency c-section that day - it’s going to be alright momma!
I’m sending positive and healing vibes your way 💜

My Maven app says this
“It’s also good to remember that anxiety is more likely to appear when you focus more on the future than the present. To bring yourself back into today, ask yourself, Is there anything useful I can be doing right now instead of worrying? You might, for instance, decide to pick up some pain-management techniques from a doula; exercise; practice meditation to learn how to cope with stress. Once you move past the mental chatter and spring into action, the jitters may start to go away.”
