My bub is 16 weeks and she takes more than 30 mins to finish bottle usually 4oz. I tried changing the flow size but she was overwhelmed by that. Wanted to know how other baby are doing in terms of finishing the bottle?
I know every baby is different though.

Here’s what I’ve heard:
- if it take 20 mins or longer babe is burning more calories trying to drink than taking in. Therefor up the flow size of the nipple.
- if it’s breast milk in the bottle and babe is bottle & boob fed then stick with the lowest flow size.
My babe is bottle fed breastmilk 90% of the time (the other 10% I breastfeed) and he was doing the same thing with the size one nipple (sometimes up to 40 minutes to finish a 5oz bottle) I tried moving up to a size 2 nipple and he was in taking way to much air and his burps were insane. He was also so uncomfortable for the two days we tried.
Thanks wanted to know after two days baby got used to size 2?

No, we ended up switching back to size 1. The size twos made him so uncomfortable and gassy. I think we’ll stick with size 1 until he starts solids now.
okay! Size 2 made my LO also uncomformtable. We are using Dr. brown anti colic bottle.
