My health visitor says no because a baby needs to be able to hold head steady and be able to sit up my daughter is 6 months tomorrow and my health visitor said to hold off till then

Our little one does hold head steady? It was just in case there was ingredients in the pouches with them saying 6 month that’s all x

There are pouches that say 4 to 6 months and porridge and baby rice available, we use these currently 👍

It’s just an estimate, all babies are different, it’s difficult to know the specific reason the manufacturer has advised 6months, there may be bits in the food that could cause choking or controversial ingredients to younger babies or maybe they’re just abiding by the recommendations from nhs and other world health organisations (to protect their company from being sued).

Ultimately it’s up to you to make the decision if your baby is ready just as another mother may choose not to give even at 6 months because her baby is not showing readiness signs.

Waiting one day until the clock strikes midnight for 6 months won’t magically mature a baby but it gives those whose babies are showing readiness signs peace of mind and avoids judgement from others ☺️

My baby is also 5 and a half months. She’s 6 months on 16th and I’m going to start giving her 6 month pouches now. I think they’re just thicker purées so slowly introduces a new texture

Bailey, my little one is 6 month on the 16th too! I will give it a go and see how he goes x

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
