Bedtime

What time are you putting your babies to bed at night?

Mine are 13.5 weeks and they have their last bottle at 8pm and then asleep by 8:45-9pm. They don’t wake up until 5/6am so sleeping most of the night but just curious if this bedtime is still too late?

Worried if I try earlier bedtime then they’ll wake in the night for a feed and atm it’s been working for us as we get plenty of sleep too.

Any advice?

My 9 week old is the same, bedtime routine starts at 8pm and asleep by 8.45pm, wakes up at 6.45am everyday and I dream feed at 3am, we tried earlier bedtime but he still didn’t sleep till 8.45pm x

Yeah my girl is the same then I tend to do a dream feed before I go to sleep at half 11/12 and then she's asleep til 7am then has a bottle and change then tends to go back to sleep until 9am and then she's awake awake x

My almost 11 week old has bath at 7 then bottle and bed about 7.30 as she's so grumpy and just cries because she's tired. She then wakes about midnight for feed and back to sleep until morning

My 12 week old decided her bedtime was 7.30-8pm, up until the week she has been sleeping until 3am and then 7am but this week decided that 1am is when she wants to wake which means we then wake at 5.30 🤦‍♀️ x

My 11 week old goes to bed at 7, will wake at 2am for a feed then goes back off until 6ish for a feed x

My 11 week old is normally asleep by 7.30pm, he gets so grumpy if he goes to sleep later. Normally feeds at around 10/1030 when I go to bed, then awake for 2.30/3 for a feed and then up at 6.30/7 for the day. Every baby is different though. You go with what’s best for you. Some babies sleep through (lucky mummas!) others wake up every 2 hours. X

My 14 week old has just this last week decided his bedtime is between half 8 and 9, he then wakes up at 5ish for a bottle then back to sleep. Definitely not too late, if it is working for you all no problem x

My baby sleeps from around 11pm to 11am, and I’m trying to slowly bring it down so hopefully it’ll be about 9pm to 9am

Thank you everyone! It’s great to hear how different everyone’s babies are. This is working for us currently so we will keep it i think! X

Usually around 8 for my 9 weeks old, but as the bed time routine includes her evening bottle and she is fed on demand rather than on a schedule the time can change a bit, if she get hungry and want her bottle earlier she will be in bed earlier or sometimes a little later

Our 12 week old goes to sleep anytime between 6:30pm and 8:00pm depending on when she last ate and her last nap! I then wake her at around 10pm for a feed, this helps her to sleep through longer (she goes until around 5am) whereas if I didn’t wake her at 10, she’d be up around 1am and I can’t hack that anymore 🤣

8:45-9pm. Asleep by 9:30 latest x

if it helps my boy is now 12 weeks also wouldn’t settle until 8.30/9pm but lastnight he went down at 7.30pm for the first time and was awake for 7am. He only had one quick feed at 3.30am so there might be hope haha! Xx

My 13w old comes to bed when I do which is always between 10-11pm (he sleeps on me downstairs). I'm not ready to 'put him to bed' and leave him up here on his own it scares me even with a monitor. He has a bottle before we go to sleep though and he's been sleeping through until around 7/7:30 after that!

My baby wouldn't sleep until 9.30-10pm but recently has been sleeping earlier like between 8.30 and 9, so hoping for a 7.30-8pm sleep soon

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
