My little girl is 4 weeks old and the last week she’s had horrendous crying bouts. She screams so much, and goes bright red. She has tears in her eyes and it’s so hard to listen to it makes me cry. It’s almost like she’s in pain. It’s so high pitched and constant. Nothing will soothe her. I took her to A&E last night but she fell asleep so they didn’t hear her and said they think she’s being over fed and will be full of wind. Anyone else’s baby like this?

@Tendai Fortunate (Teddy) yeah I guess it does 🤣

Possible colic? X

My son does this when he is gassy or has to poop. You can see the pain in his face and he stiffens his legs and body up . We put him on his belly and pat his butt, or rub his tummy. A few minutes later he acts starving so when I breast feed him it’s like he relaxes his stomach and he either poops a ton or farts a ton.
My dr just said it’s okay to give him gas drops before every feeding so I am going to see if that helps him at all

Colic I had this with my 1st honestly hard work went Dr's and hospital once thought maybe milk intolerance but no tried colief and honestly worked wonders

Try baby wearing in the day so you aren't trapped on the sofa. I wish I had done this.
Other things to try..
Dummy
Infacol
Dentinox colic drops
Bicycle legs
Tummy rubs
Warm baths.
Change of bottle.. slower or faster teat?
Is she pooping OK? Does she sound like she's "knocking"/ full of wind?
My midwife suggested you can't really overfeed a baby... if they've gone OTT they'll tend to just puke.. so confused by A&E's advice.

I like the Wonder Weeks to give a heads up of fussy phases. They call them developmental leaps and explain what's going on in their little brains to make them get a bit fussy. I find it reassuring that this too shall pass.
