Am i overreacting?

Some back story
1. The father and grandparents met my kid at 3 months.
2. I was the one to initiate basically all visits after that
3. I would send pics and updates to the dad and grandparents and they wouldn't ever ask.
4. I demanded weekly visits with the dad and not once every month or every other month. This has been since mid June 2023.

Since mid June my LO has been going to see her dad and grandparents for a few hours at a time. I started out going with her, as I don't know them and don't feel confident leaving her with them. By mid July, I was leaving her there for 2 or 3 hours.
(I also want to add that if I don't msg him.the day before or morning of the visit we don't hear from him and a visit doesn't happen)
In the beginning of Aug I let him know that I shouldn't have to keep reminding him of his visits. Especially since he was the one to pick Sunday. I also let him know that I am taking a big chance in trusting him and his family, sice i dont know them. I told him didn't care for his mother making comments that made my kiddo uncomfortable. Plus that I felt it wasn't appropriate for his mom to tell my daughter to tell me that I need to do something. (I.e - lola said you have to let me sleep over.. or lola said to put my car seat in her car so she can take me out.)

I don't know them and i dont trust them. When she goes to my grandmas I call to check in.. regularly. I do the same when she visits her dad but I don't always hear anything back even after I've explained that he needs to build up my trust.
Anyway, he approached me in the weekend.asking if they can take her to visit her older brother. I've got nothing against her seeing her brother. The grandparents have brought him around for Xmas twice and she attended his party in the summer. My issue is that he is almost 2 hours away.
I've already expressed needing communication during their visits (10 mins from our house] and I rarely get that. So for them to travel 2 hours just one way to then hang out for however long and then travel back.

In my heart of hearts I don't want to keep her from her brother but I don't feel confident or comfortable

Are these court orders?

@Angie no... I've got sole decision making rights

Have you possible tried to bond with them yourself? Do you have altercations with the grandparents?

Avatar

@Angie yes I have. From the time she was 3 months to 1. I tried to bond with them 2 get to know them while she was young so that I could feel comfortable with long visits, overnights etc.. However the grandma and I butt heads. When I would stay for the visits I'd try to engage with the family. However they always spoke mostly in tagalog so I wouldn't know what's being said

Nursery funding

My child turned 9 months last week. I applied for government funded hours nearly 2 months ago and so well within the required timeframe for the April term, however upon receiving my first invoice without the funding applied and having questioned this, I have now been informed that the stretched funding doesn’t start until 4th May.

Has anyone else been told it won’t start until May?

The government site states it should start from April 1st, and so I intentionally set my nursery start and return to work as the start of April for that reason, knowing that I wouldn’t be able to afford the nursery on my sole income without the funding

Toddlers

How often are your toddlers asking for food? My oldest who is 3 just finished a whole plate of food and not even 10 minutes later he’s requesting more food. I know he’s going through a growth spurt, but how do you respond to this.

He has no respect for anything to do with me.

Husband and I decided to separate 3 days ago. I've been sleeping on the floor in the kids room, and we both have to stay in the same apartment for a while. He wont stop pushing little things and I am reaching my limit. Photos in comments

Is this normal?

Is it just my husband that does this? He is able to work from home via his computer and in the mornings and evenings he is on there doing his job. When he is done for the day he tends to stay in the room and either play video games or watch something. He will occasionally come out and play with the girls for a few minutes and that’s it but when I really need him he says he is busy. My daughters are both 1 year old now and I am just wondering how much involvement should he have with them now?
Idk if this is the norm or not…..

Starting BLW

Yesterday our pediatrician said we could start purées or baby lead feeding. My baby is exclusively breast-fed. She’s already tried some foods, but now we can start with one to two meals a day. This is what my doctor recommends, any ideas for what to make with this??
