Hi mamas! So my baby is almost 5 months (already!😭) and she tends to continuously raise her legs up and then slam them back down. She will do this several times, she doesn’t cry or make a noise and her eyes are closed???
Has anyone else experienced this and do you know why or if it’s normal? TIA x

Our autistic daughter has done this since she was a baby. It's likely a self soothing/stimming thing. Nothing to worry about ☺️

My lg is only 3 weeks old and she does this already. I’m not thinking much more than it just being deep sleep like adults do

Can your baby roll from back to tummy yet? If not, you might be in for a surprise soon! This can also indicate a huge milestone of them rolling over for the first time x

that’s reassuring! Thank you so much x

she can roll tummy to back but not back to tummy yet. They grow too fast 😭❤️

I always assumed my LO did it to get rid of wind

My little boy started doing this about a week or 2 before he started trying to roll on his side/belly in the night
Faat forward another week later and we now have tummy sleeping every night 😅

My little girl did this then stopped around 6/7 months old. Just them getting used to their body I think!

My baby started this around 3 months, she’d do it alllll the time! She’s 6 months now and doesn’t do it as much. Think it was a self soothing thing🤷🏻♀️😂

oh dear, I’m not looking forward to her sleeping on her tummy. I’ll be up all night anxious!😂

@Lailuma I was the first few days, set alarms constantly but I feel better about it now as getting used to it 😅
