Baby is just over 3 weeks and feel like we are getting no where. I am exhausted EBF and starting to feel low and fed up. I'm so jealous of my partner getting 6 hours uninterrupted sleep per night even though its on the sofa! Currently having to co sleep to get any kind of sleep and its so broken and non existent:(

if you don't already have one try a next to me crib my husband settles our girl easily (it's on his side) she also doesn't sleep in the day unless she's held but luckily for me is 3/4 hours with feeds so I can't help there sorry

We’ve now managed to get him to go in his cot during the day but during the night he won’t go down at all. He just wants to be fed and cuddles the whole time. We are lucky if we get two hours sleep but most of the time it’s even less.

Have you tried adding top ups after feeding? We found our baby was actually still wanting more food. She’s so much more settled now

This!! Yes!! Omg it’s exhausting. I’m going to try him in his cot tonight, he’s currently in a Moses basket next to me. I started giving him formula during the night instead of EBM to see if it filled him up more but it makes no difference, he still only goes 1hr 30 to 1hr 45 between feeds and when he feeds he only has 2-2.5oz. During the day he will have 3-4oz. I just don’t know what the answer is x
are you topping up with breast milk or formula x
i was starting to feel like i was the only one as people on here saying 3/4 even 5 hour stints of sleep! I'm like how my baby is not doing any of this. It's really hard going 😔. It's interesting what you have said about formula. I might start to combi feed i have managed to express and freeze some so far but just more time consuming on no sleep as it is already! Xx

I think it’s relatively normal at this stage but it is exhausting. My LO has very active arms and wakes himself up banging them on the sides of the Moses basket as well but he doesn’t like being swaddled. I think if he’s in his cot there will be more room for him and a bit more of an air flow, we will see. I have the perfect prep machine upstairs and it’s a godsend during the night, I just bring up the sterilised bottles I need and everything is to hand x

Both :)
