You will be taken into a private room with the midwife.

They took my weight/height/urine sample - recommend you need to pee upon arrival! They also did a blood test.

She then asked a lot of questions about my lifestyle and mine and my husbands family history of various illnesses.

Then she provided information about which supplements to take, foods to avoid and explained about various tests/vaccines we could have over the pregnancy.

I took my husband with me which made it easier as he knew the details about his family history.

ah thank you so much, I wasn’t sure what would be said/done just needed some reassurance so thank you for that. Was your husband allowed in the room with you? I’d probably feel a lot more calmer if my boyfriend was there with me xx
