Partner's family is Jehovah's witnesses, currently my partner's going through RCIA n we are getting married so he can become catholic. Asked if his mum dad grandma are coming the baptism they have said no and won't give a reason. I feel disappointed in them, they are meant to be "Christian" still so I can't see their objections. Just showing they're true colours really, should I be concerned about marrying into this family? Yet they want to come out wedding ?? Should I allow this ?? We are having a Catholic wedding I see no difference

Quite hard to give an option as only you will know what your relationship is like. What I would say is, is he supportive towards you, your family (as a couple) and your religion? If yes, that's really positive. I'm not gonna lie, you'll probably still have conflicts from time to time but as long as you are supportive of each then you'll have a great starting point for your marriage.
If he's someone who's constantly listening to other people's opinion, them you might need a serious conversation between the two of you.
Try to speak to him and open up about it, most importantly pray everyday for your marriage and for his family. I would also suggest booking some time in with your priest for guidance xx

catholic and jehovah’s witness is very different. i grew up jehovah’s witness and my boyfriends family is catholic. i’m not religious now. this isn’t showing their true colors it’s just against their religion to celebrate and support something that is part of a different religion. respect their religion.

Super late to the party but I grew up a JW and am now a Catholic (there was an atheist/agnostic intermission in there) and there's a reason I don't tell anyone who's still a JW that I run into that I'm Catholic because they'll just call me an idol worshipper etc. in our congregation there was a very clear disdain for Catholics. I hope things are looking up for you now and your hopefully now husband has joined the faith with you. I did a project on JWs and actually they're a cult, not a Christian denomination because of various things but they deny the Trinity which is a huge issue, obviously.

You shouldn’t judge them or feel any type of way but see them with eyes of grace . Can you imagine being in the mothers shoes and your son switching religions for their loved one . It’s like saying he gave up God for a women. Is the way I see it my parents didn’t agree with the way I follow Christ . But I accepted it and moved on now I rarely talk to my family and that’s okay . Jesus cut tie with his mother and family as well at some point .
