Those of you that don’t have floor beds, when would you say is the best time to take the cot sides off?
He isn’t attempting to climb or anything but he keeps getting his legs stuck in the rails.

It depends on what the child is comfortable with my daughter is almost 2 and we tried with her and she find comfort in 4 sided cribs ♡

We took them off at 2.

He’s only 15 months so maybe I’ll keep him in his cot a bit longer. May have to find something so he can’t get his legs through it though! 😂

Dont u hv mesh protecters to go around the cot? Xx

no I don’t. I’ll have to have a look for some

aw bless her! My little one is only small so I might get away with it for a while yet.

We never took the side off with our eldest as he never climbed out. He moved to a full size bed when he was 2.5 and has been fine in there. Not sure what we’ll do with the youngest though as I’ve got a feeling he’s going to be a climber!

Do you use a sleep sack? It makes it harder for them to get caught in the rails.

no he gets far too hot for a sleep sack and has never really slept very well in them.

Another question….when they are in a proper bed, how do you settle knowing they can get in and out themselves and could be up to no good in there? 😂 I just know I would wake up the following morning and there would be no clothes left in his drawers 😂🤦🏼♀️
