I keep googling high chance of birth defects, miscarriages etc. I know there’s lots of older mums/ mums to be out there. But on other hand, feel like I’ve been selfish doing this. Why is public perception cruel to women but not men!

Hello! I had my one and only 3 days before I turned 40. We were offer lots of extra testing etc but we decided that we would accept whatever came out way and my partner pointed out that there was absolutely nothing I could do or control about my age. My Little Miss is now nearly 5 and absolutely perfect. Lol... just be prepared to be about 15 years older than all the friends mumma's! 🤪

I’m 46, we’ve been trying for 4+yrs- I thought I had all the time in the world in my 30’s (ha) anyway, we are finally past the 12 wk mark & we are excited! I go from guilt (from feeling selfish that I’m so old) to feeling everyone will b judging me, to being so nervous about my age & all the risks- but I’ve been waiting for this for so long- it’s not my fault- & I hope everything goes well & others are happy for me. The anxiety is so real tho

Glad everything turned out well Caz!
Natalie, everything you have said, I’ve thought of! I’ve only just found out, so early days. I think nerves will settle after 12 weeks too x
