So I had to abruptly stop breastfeeding my 10m old because I had to start taking medication. But my boobs are still filling up with milk šš itās getting so painfulā¦. Can I pump and save for like milk baths? And rashes still?
Cause my dr said āI want you stop breastfeeding cold turkey because I cannot be limited to making sure you get the right treatmentā
So itās not like Iām ever gonna breast feed againā¦. I just donāt know what to do with my milk lol. Does it go away over time?! Idk

Make creams out of it for skin or put it in soap

Yes, eventually, your milk will dry up. It just depends on how long you're not able to nurse and if you pump while not nursing.

Milk baths are fine! Start tapering down with pumping for relief so you donāt get mastitis

Also, 1 dose of regular Sudafed will cut your supply in half

Maybe you can make milk jewelry to remember the time.

You can make milk jewelry, donate milk, etc. But if you want your body to stop producing milk, then you shouldn't pump. Breasts produce milk in a supply and demand system. If you pump because of engoregment, the body will see that as a sign to make more milk. The best course of action is to just deal with the discomfort for a few days so your body understands that milk is no longer needed.
