Baby boy’s weight dropped super low in the first week, so we started him on formula. I have been pumping and triple feeding him since then. Today marks two weeks of him being born, and my supply still stays low at 5 ml on left boob and just a few drops on right 😢
Im using hospital grade Medela pump. Anything that I could be doing wrong?
I’m also observing that he actually stays on my right boob while breastfeeding. Is it possible that my right boob functions during breastfeeding but fails to just pump out milk?

I’ve always been told the best thing to increase milk supply is water, not missing meals and resting when you’re able. Make sure your breasts are as empty they could possibly be and even though baby is supplementing with the formula still offer a breast from time to time so baby doesn’t forget how to suckle or that baby doesn’t start preferring bottle over breast (unless that’s what you’re comfortable with). Still try to pump even though the milk supply may be running low. Most importantly stay faithful and keep your hopes up. Sometimes milk doesn’t come in for a while unfortunately.

Some women’s milk doesn’t come in from 3-4 weeks after baby is born

Try eating oatmeal made with oatmilk and tsp of coconut oil, and those body armor drinks makes so much difference and ofc the lactation tea. Every time I drink that tea I literally squirt out milk.. hope that helps 😔💖
