My son is now 6 weeks. He was 5 lbs at birth and is now 9lbs. Do I still need to wake him up every 3 hours to eat?

My pediatrician told me after mine got back up to birth weight that I no longer had to wake her to feed every 3 hours I can let her sleep

thank you! I forgot to ask my pediatrician and google (as expected) is giving different answers

Same my girl is 5 weeks. She is already over 2 lbs her birth weight. So doc said as long as she doesn't go over 5.5hours let her sleep

Mine was born at 8lbs 12oz but lost 3/4 of a lb the first week. So we were told to feed every 2-3 hrs until she's 2 months and see how her weight is then. She's 5 weeks now and she's 10lbs

I feed my son every 2-3 hours, but never wake him up. Your baby is a healthy weight, I'd let them sleep!

Daughter was born 7 lbs 8 oz. She'll be 6 weeks on Tues. Just went for her 1 month appointment and she weighs 9 lbs 3 oz. Pediatrician told us we can let her sleep through the night but keep doing what we're doing (every 2-3 hours) throughout the day.
