BF discreetly without a cover

How do you manage to breastfeed discretely without using a cover? My LG gets annoyed at the cover and it’s defo making her hotter in this heat but I don’t know how to get her to latch on without everyone having full view of my boob which I’m not comfortable with. Any tips or tricks? X

I’ve never had the confidence to BF in public so I’d love to know how other people do so. Meanwhile the other day at costa there was a mum who had complete confidence and everything was in view, whilst I am not that confident, I admire her confidence and her ability to not care what others think

My LB doesn't like the covers either because he wants to be able to see but I find a muslin cloth over the front is fine as it doesn't block his view behind me but stops others from seeing...however boob is on show whilst I'm adjusting and putting the muslin cloth on but it's not for long

I don't go out of my way to be discreet for others but I do for myself. Covers never worked for me though.
I have enough breastfeeding tops and strappy tops to go under loose t-shirts I always manage one up one down. I would treat yourself to some breastfeeding tops (I get all mine on Vinted and some good branda I like are bshirt and hot mama), grab amate who you trust, and get out, go to the corner of a coffee place and go for it. Gradually you won't need your mate or the corner x

I second the oversized t-shirt. That way the rest of the t-shirt stays down and covers the rest of me and there's enough that you don't need to pop everything out to get baby on. I've been very comfortable doing this out and about, I don't want folk seeing my belly rolls, never mind the boobs 😂

Honestly I think covers draw more attention to yourself but maybe that's just me. I just whip my boob out as and when is needed really and I think once the baby is on their head blocks out most of what's happening anyway 😅

However, things I've found that help when I want to feel less on show include: wearing an open shirt / hoodie / cardigan over my vest top that I can sort of wrap over my boob if I don't want to be on show.

Just a t-shirt that I lift up and have a vest on underneath is also good, then you're covered top and bottom.

Honestly though, just go for it! You'll be surprised at how much no one gives a crap or doesn't even notice!

I was extremely nervous to bf un public. Still struggle by just powering through.

Know the UK law has made me feel better, as no one can tell you to stop feeding your baby in public.
Just think we were all babies once and needed feeding.

I have Large boobs so there is a lot on show and never really wear low cut lots before being pregnant as I didn't like the attention.

The one up one down method us good but in this heat I go for tucking a muslin in my top or bra strap and have it over my boob cleavage area.

I always wear a breastfeeding top and breastfeeding bra. I get my boob out of my bra but keep the t-shirt covering it, position baby (I do an upright koala kind of hold) and when we are positioned I then pull my top up out of the way and he latches on. It means that, unless you're sitting behind or to the side of me, his head completely covers my nipple. I try and find somewhere a bit more private (e.g. a seat in a corner or where I am facing a wall, rather than in a window etc) but I've never really noticed anyone watching me. I've just never let myself worry about it - it's no different to pulling a bottle out to feed my baby - If anyone finds it offensive it's because they have sexualised nipples and I bet they wouldn't ask a man to cover his chest up when on holidays etc. No one has ever said anything to me but I get lots of women smiling / nodding at me when they do notice. My mom often says though that you can't even tell I'm feeding my boy.

I wear a shirt undone so then you can pull it round.

The milky T or Juno jacks do fab breast feeding t shirts with zip either under or to the side. They just zip down and make feeding so discreet. I’m not totally confident feeding in public but in certain places I will go too has an area to feed, these tops are ideal

I use a Muslin cloth and tuck one corner in my bra strap so it stays in place while they latch

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
