Breastfeed no pumping

Any mamas BF and don’t pump. I currently WFh and i don’t feel the need to pump. But I feel that I need to create a stash just in case my baby stay with his grandparents or dad. I tried pumping and only a little came out. Is there any remedies to boost milk supply.. I use to pump over 12 oz every session😩

I have exclusively breastfed my girl up until 3 weeks ago when I went back to work. Before that though, to build a stash I just pumped once a day right after she feeds in the morning. Your body can make more milk first thing in the AM. Besides that , stay hydrated , oatmeal, try to eat the foods they suggest that support milk supply, and now I’ve been taking bodily milk latte in the mornings. I know there’s ways to pump to increase supply but I’m not entirely sure how. Ie “power pumping”

I’m the same but I’m now a SAHM and I 99% breastfeed from the tap. I use the hakkaa when at home when feeding her and I pump at night before I go to bed to build a stash. I had to use some stash this weekend as she stayed the night with friends. When I went back to work for the last two weeks I pumped and the more I pumped the more I got. You generally get the most in the morning and it’s not as much during the day, or that was how it was for me.

so would breastfeeding and pumping every 3-4 hrs would be too much? Lol

Hmm I don’t think so, if you’re trying to build a stash and supply, you could start by doing it 3x a day and see what you get? Then cut back or add. I got super worn out when I started to do that in the beginning. And if you’re just trying to build a stash getting worn out about it is not worth it! When I pump after she feeds right in the morning , I get an extra 5oz but this is bc I sustained the demand for this much milk in the morning bc I have been pumping after her morning feed since she was 2 months old. When I would pump after she ate during the day (I did this in the beginning not knowing how much I would be able to get ) I only got about 2 oz extra each pump- I think this is more normal so don’t feel defeated if that’s all you get if you’re pumping after you breastfeed. You’re supply has normalized by now so to get extra will take a bit.

Ok thank you and you are so right I get a great supply in the morning after I wake up! I will test this out

Also, have you started weaning your baby to rice cereals or oatmeal yet?

Hope it helps/ the strategy works for you!

I have not, her pediatrician recommended to start purées / oatmeal around 6 months, so I probably will in another month or so.

Same. I'm trying to help another mom give her baby breast milk until her supply goes up but I don't want to give up all of my stash so I'm trying to pump and get a bigger stash.

I pretty much only nurse but I will pump 1-2 times a day to have a bottle or two on hand if I need to run out. But if I need to leave the babg a longer period I have to prep for it. I feel like it may take a bit if you wanna get a stash going because your body has to be tricked into making more and not just making exacrlt what it needs like it has been

Should I be concerned or am I overthinking?

My little boy is 15 months old, he’s recently taken his first steps and he says mamma and dadda and baba (he has said these for months) we’ve filled out the paperwork for his 12-14 month review and it looks like he isn’t meeting many of his milestones.

He doesn’t copy actions, point, clap etc. He doesn’t react when being spoken to, or to his name. He actively avoids eye contact.

He was so unresponsive to sound that we just had his hearing tested concerned he was deaf. They found that he could hear so he is just choosing not to react to any noises or sounds.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with their little ones? Should I be raising this with the health visitor and ask to be assessed for neurodivergent issue or a social communication problem like autism?

I don’t want to just slap a label on him, but I do feel that there are real concerns. All opinions welcome!!

Routines?

When did you start to introduce your baby’s routine? Do they just have a night routine or full day routine? Wondering when I should start this e.g naps at the same time everyday.

Any routines you have that work for you, please let me know them with timestamps. my baby is 6 weeks and just wondering when we should start them?

Does anyone else’s baby spit up breastmilk but not formula?

I’m seriously considering seeing a lactation consultant because I don’t understand why he can’t hold down breastmilk but can formula. I use soy formula since I’ve used it with my daughter and I’m thinking it might be due to not getting milk coming in for a few days so I had no choice but to give him formula, but now even if I take breaks in between feeding him breastmilk to burp or try to mix breastmilk and formula, he spits it up sooo much. I’m ready to just give him just formula because I’m worried about him not eating enough

Bed time tips for 8 week old

So I literally cannot get my 8 week down to sleep before 11:30pm every night no matter how early we start our routine. We tend to do bath every second night but every night consists of feed, up to bed, into pjs, book, feed to sleep. We could start this routine at 7 and it would still be the case of not selling til 11:30.

She doesn’t nap during the day well, we get a 30 minute in the morning, and a 1 hour in the afternoon only if I’m out the house. She’s never distressed when she’s awake all that time, quite the thing being nosey and having cuddles. She’s EBF and her feeds all through the day are LONG and last from 30-45 mins each feed.

Any tips/advice recommended on how to get to bed earlier or just how to get her to sleep in general.
