Taking my 4.5 month old on Sunday. I feel overorganisation is the key. I feel like I’m packing for a mission to the moon 😂 xxx

We have flown to Spain with our 3.5 month old a couple weeks ago. Id say if you are able to feed baby on take of and landing or give them a dummy (if you use one) helps with the air pressure.

We just went on our first plane ride at 3.5 months. Feed on take off and for the first while in the air, it helps the ear popping. Take toys and entertainment, and prep for each stage of the airport.

Little things threw me off like you have to take your baby out of the pram at security (she was beautifully asleep), dropping the pram at the front of the plane (make sure you don’t have too much to carry on the plane plus the baby), baby sits on your lap the whole flight (we flew Ryanair, not comfortable)

And then the usual feed and nappy changes, leave extra time

Flew at 3 weeks, 2.5 months and 3.5 months. Biggest tip - go hands free! If you can use a sling/carrier. You forget how much you need your hands for passports, boarding passes, carry on, bottles etc etc And as above, feed on take off and landing for their little ears. It seems stressful but it’s actually fine. Take a breath, it will be ok… and have a great holiday! xx

I’m taking my little one to Hungary on Saturday, to visit my family.😊 I’m a bit nervous, as I’m flying alone with her. What I was advised is to feed or use dummy at take off and landing. I was also told a good trick, paper cups on the ears! Cabin crew should be aware of this as it’s an easy way to avoid the cabin pressure. Apparently for pain putting hot water soaked tissue inside the cup is good, it’s the steam that helps.
I’m taking a couple of toys too that my girl can chew on, at the moment that’s all she does with her toys.😊 She also LOVES people watching, and just checking out everything, so I hope that will keep her entertained. It’s a lot to see at the airport! I’m checking in the stroller by the gate, so I’m planning to fold it right before boarding and take a sling for the baby. I’m taking two bags on board, one on my back, one on my shoulder. Just plan where you put things, so they are easy to reach.

what did you have to do with the stroller at security? Can you just push it through or need to fold it? Or are they take it from you to check it?
Did it survive the flight without damages?😖 I’ve heard a lot of stories about lost or broken strollers, I’m freaking out as ours is pretty new. Should have got a cheap second one for travelling.🙈

Pack a “change” in a ziplock plastic bag or sandwich bag which you grab in an airplane - it’s very hard trying to gather things together.

New nappy, outfit change, a couple of wipes!

5 month old activities

Hey everyone my baby is 5 months old and I want to reduce/cut screen time as I have read up on how bad it is what activities did people do to keep their baby entertained. Thank you in advance.

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?
