I’ve already posted something similar but hoping this gets a bit more traction.
My baby girl is seven months, and has been exclusively breastfed the entire time. I tried pumping and doing bottle feeds quite early on as she didn’t latch well, but she just didn’t want any of it.
Seven months later and she still flat out REFUSES my breast milk from anything but my boob, no matter how I try (me, my boyfriend, parents, from a bottle/sippy cup/open cup).
I’ve also tried every single formula brand out there, both pre made liquid and the powder, and she’ll take like, two sips and then cry for the boob.
I’m really getting to the end of my tether with it as I just desperately want a break. She also had oral thrush recently which passed to my nipples and made feeding extremely painful. It’s just kind of made me resent breastfeeding a bit now (which of course makes me feel guilty) and honestly, I just want to stop. But I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to when she won’t feed any other way.
I’m sure I’ve just got to be patient and keep taking her few sips at a time…but we all know patience as a new mum is pretty hard. Hoping someone has some magic trick that will get her on the formula just like that?? 🫠

Have you tried the Nanobebe bottle? It’s designed to mimic the breast in shape.
When I was using nipple shields to help my LO learn to latch, I would express fresh breast milk onto the exterior so the first thing my LO smelled and tasted was fresh breast milk. It might help trick your LO in starting on a bottle.
