Hi guys, I’m looking for some advice/tips on how to feel better about my new body.
I’m 4 months pp and really struggling with accepting how I look now, clothes fit different, my hair is falling out and my self esteem is at an all time low. I end up in tears whenever I go out to socialise over what I’m wearing/how I look and it’s really getting me down. I’ve brought new clothes to try and suit my new body, and I’m working out 3 x a week thanks to my partner. He’s amazing and often tells me how beautiful I look but I just don’t believe him.
I know my body has done an amazing thing and grown my gorgeous baby and I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to do so but I just can’t seem to shift the awful feeling when I look at myself in the mirror and in photos.
I was wondering if anyone has any ways to try and change my mindset to try and stop this feeling? TIA x

I could of wrote this… I’m in the exact same boat.
I don’t have a ‘fix’ but I either tell myself those that matter to me either understand what I’ve gone through and they really don’t care what I look like, they love me for me or ask myself what can I do to make myself feel better. Is it getting my nails done, going for a walk, going to the gym…
Find my own happiness.
Ultimately, we grew a human. A whole human and we should be super proud of our body’s! It took 9+ months to grow them, it’s no problem to take 9+ months to adjust and accept our new body’s. Try not be so hard on yourself… you’re excelling in other areas! X
