I have a cold 🤧

What’s ok to do when breastfeeding? Take cold medicine? Continue breastfeeding? Trying to stay away from my LO’s face but not really feasible.

I didn't take cold medicine, but I don't normally anyway. Breastfeeding directly is great, your antibodies will be passed through to your bub via the breastmilk.
Obviously try not to cough on them, and be as clean as possible but apart from that continue as normal.

There’s not much medicine you can take while breastfeeding
Definitely continue to breastfeed as normal
And like the comment above.. try not to cough on baby, wash hands etc
Do the best you can.

Honestly. When you’re sick, it’s super hard not to be close to your babies or when you’re babies are sick same.. it’s that momma life

Breastfeed as normal and stay hydrated, try drinking pedialyte and maybe apple cider vinegar with honey and lemon, try to avoid cold medicines as those can potentially dry up your supply

For medicine check https://www.e-lactancia.org/. It's a website by doctors and nurses with safe meds for bf.

I drank so much hot tea with honey and it actually really helped! Just stay away from tea with caffeine or you’ll get super buzzed 🫨

I would ask doctor about safety medication for colds. You can take tylenol and try some natural cold remedies.
Definitely keep breastfeeding your baby will receive the antibodies your body is forming!!
Wear a mask to keep contagious away from baby. I recently had strep and wore two masks day and night ( I co sleep) and baby was fine didn't get sick at all

I was only thinking about taking Tylenol since she has had it. The doctor okay it after her vaccines. I definitely been drinking tea with honey. I only drink caffeine in the morning. I couldn’t give up coffee so I have one cup a day.

Yes coffee is important lol 😆 but yes tylenol and motrin are usually given in the hospital after you give birth anyway so baby has most likely already had those.
Mix honey and lemon together and take a tablespoon of it it helps with cough and sore throat. And pineapple is a way better source of vitamin C than oranges 😌👍🏾

Saline nasal spray is fine for nasal congestion, and if it’s keeping you up at night you can wear Breathe Right strips to help keep your nasal passages open and clear

Try not to take anything with decongestant things in as this is what can dry some women up. I have a cold as well right now and it’s bloody awful. I’m drinking honey lemon ginger and brow sugar tea. And steaming my face really helps relieve my nose.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong
