My little boy has starting having tantrums if he doesn't get his own way - he doesn't really say very much only about 10-15 words.
His nursery keep saying that his behaviour is too challenging, but isn't it just him testing boundaries and trying to understand the world. Not sure what to do, as the nursery just constantly seem to be moaning about it 🤦🏻♀️ At home during a tantrum, we just wait it out and stroke his head and tell him everything is ok and he self soothes and moves on, so I have no idea what to do? Any help? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

My boy is 19 months and is exactly the same. As soon as you tell him know or stop him from doing something he wants to do he will cry and scream and sometimes fall to the ground all dramatic. It’s totally normal at this age. Unless your little is hurting himself or someone else I don’t understand how it’s too challenging. It’s totally normal behaviour x

Mine is the same. What seems to help us is opening the window and looking at cars and people passing by. I ask him to look for dogs or cats. Fresh air seems to helps and distract him a little. When he's a little less dramatic and actually listens I just acknowledge his feelings and explain why I didn't let him do something

My LG hates going into nursery atm she kicks off and I said I think it’s cuz we’re nearing closer to “toddler tantrums” but lady at nursery said “no! It’s just girls’ which left be abit stunned tbh but it’s nice to hear it’s not “just girls” I’ve spoke to some friends who have slightly older kids and they said it’s totally normal they go through tantrum phases on and off all the time

@Ashling has your daughter alway disliked nursery. My Daughter hates drop off and has good days and bad days and worry she's not liking it very much.

My girl has just tantrumed for an hour straight cus she didn’t want to go to bed. Daddy gave in and brought her back down 🤦🏻♀️
