Anyone else struggling w/21mo at bedtime?

We had a really nice routine going for ages - bath, little bit of play time, pjs, books and cuddle to sleep. All of that has gone out of the window now! He’s not interested in the bath, he’ll get in without a fight but soon wants out. Plays happily while we put pjs on but once we get up to his room for books he just wants to play! He won’t sit and listen/look at the books like he used to. He’s in and out of his cot, rolling around until he either falls asleep or decides he finally wants to get out cuddle to sleep. Some nights I’ve just put him in the car and driven him to sleep instead because it’s so exhausting. He doesn’t go to bed until 9ish anyway so some nights it’s nearly 10 by the time I get him down and then I’m so exhausted I just go to bed myself.

I have no idea what to do though. Not sure whether to stretch his wake window and see if he’s just not been tired enough or whether I need to shake up the whole bedtime routine?

Anyone else had this and got any suggestions?

Sounds like he’s not tired enough. Cut the nap shorter and see if it helps in a few days

Doesn’t seem to matter how long his nap is - whether it’s less than an hour or 2 hours, bedtime is still a nightmare 🙈

It doesn’t matter how long our little girl naps for, she can nap from half an hour to 3 hours, but no matter what happens we have cut off point at 2pm and she will be ready to be put down for bed at 7.30, and goes to sleep when she’s ready which 95% of the time is within 10 minutes. So yeah, cut off point is at 2pm, I wonder if this will help with your little one? Not letting them sleep past a certain time if it can be helped? Plus our little one is really energetic compared to most kids her age, so even if she doesn’t look tired in the slightest we still shove her down as she doesn’t realise and will keep going and going. Hope this helps somehow as it’s a pain in the arse 😆 xxx

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
