How many oz does your lo drink per day?

How many oz does your 11mo drink in a day and over how many bottles?

Thinking of dropping from 3 bottles to 2 as he has lost all interest in them (I don't blame him either, allergy formula is awful!)

He will do 2 bottles and only have about 9oz max! We have been doing a dream feed to top up a little as he's barely drinking water too! But he is teething bad and has been like this for a good 10days now! Before he was having 2 7oz bottles no probs

we currently do 3x 7oz bottles, but its a fight to get him to take it so it seems kinder to him to drop one. Luckily he is really good with drinking water so I'm not worried about hydration. We're also teething at the minute and it's awful😭

Currently we do:
6:30pm: (bedtime) 7oz formula bottle
12am: 4oz formula bottle
6:30am: (morning) 7oz formula bottle
11am: 4oz cows milk in a cup
3pm: 4oz cows milk in a cup

From this weekend we are moving to:
6:30pm: (bedtime) 7oz cows milk in a cup
12am: offer water in a cup
6:30am: (morning) 7oz formula in a bottle
11am: 4oz cows milk in a cup
3pm: 4oz cows milk in a cup

He still drinks lots of water too. If the night transition goes well we will try and reduce his cows milk at nap time during the day to stop the feed to sleep mentality he has! Rather we will offer it at random points in the day.

We just do 2 bottles and she has about 7oz each time. My LG is on allergy formula too and it smells like Parmesan cheese 🤢 we dropped to 2 at about 9 months and she’s been fine 😊 if you’re worried about total milk intake, you can top up with soya yogurts, milky cereal etc (or whatever milk your LO has) x

We do 3 9oz bottles but thinking of dropping her lunch time one x

are you giving cows milk at 11 months?

Avatar

yes, because he still has all the recommended formula and water on top! I wouldnt stop formula at this age, it’s in addition to. And if it stopped his water intake or formula then I’d stop it 😊

I’m asking as my little boy is on SMA Althera milk, he doesn’t have an allergy he just couldn’t digest the proteins very well when he was younger. He has 3 bottles a day and drinks water really well… so just curious if I could give him some cows milk? My LB is fine with cows milk as we’ve cooked with it etc

Avatar

if he still has the recommended amount of formula required daily and is still having adequate water intake, I can’t see why you couldn’t give cows milk for any milk over the recommended formula amount! Talk to your HV if you want reassurance though! I gave mine a call and she was more than happy to talk me through it all😊

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
