15 Mon old walking on knees

My son is delayed in walking. He is cruising on the couch and everything but not walking. He is walking on his knees. Did your babies do that?

My baby is also 15 months and doing the same exact thing. Stands by couches and cruises and walks on knees. I was told by pediatrician she could have weak ankles or issues with feet so we were referred to PT

did they say they can do something about it?

My son is doing the same thing, I’m helping him gain more confidence in walking and now he’s starting to take a couple steps on his own. Maybe helping him stand for a moment and a push toy!

My daughter is almost 15 months old. I asked the pediatrician while we were in this week about the same thing—they told me not to fret just yet ! Especially as she can walk as long as she’s holding on to something for support. Hard, but give it time too :)

My pediatrician stated that if my daughter isn’t walking by 18 months to then consider PT. She cruising and crawling around proficiently. Going to focus on building her confidence and practicing more with her at home.

My son is trying to walk. He gets over excited and will basically walk fast. He gets 4-6 steps in.

My daughter started her walking at 13 months however my grandson is 16 months and he barely walking on his own now took him a bit longer he wasn’t ready to go just yet he would go around couch and holding things but we would walk with him everyday holding his hands fully then little by little one finger less to finally just let the finger go and he took off he would stand really good on his own with no problem and get down but then he got it give it a little time your little one will get it

they said they can help strengthen her. If she is not walking or at least standing with no support by 17 months or ped is referring us to orthopedics

My daughter did the same thing! I encouraged her to walk, held her hands, helped her and everything else. I was told, walking on the knees is a sign they are getting closer to walking. My daughter will be 15 months tomorrow and is now walking, but will also still walk on her knees randomly. If you have hard wood or no carpet, try getting an area rug for them to play on. They could be cautious of the hard floor.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
