Overly tired or something else !?

Hello ladies ,
So my baby just turned 1 month today and for the past two nights she’s been really fussy and you can see that she very tired trying to fall asleep but can’t and closes her eyes and gets back up she was up yesterday from 8pm till basically 4am this morning almost 5 is that normal she wouldn’t stay asleep longer then 5 mins ? Was she overly tired ? Is she sick is something wrong or is this normal she’s sleeping now so I’m guessing if she had a fever or something she would still be cranky idk I’m just trying to make sure nothing is wrong I was trying everything it wasn’t a constant cry but u can tell she was sooooo tired but wouldn’t fall asleep what does this mean how can I make her more comfortable or help her to sleep I was getting stressed like maybe something is wrong please if anyone else been through or goin through this what did u do !!?

My little one was like this when he was about 2 months, he was just so alert and didn't want to miss out, he got more and more overtired! Do you use any sleep aids, white noise quite loud helped my little one... your baby may also have a bit of gas build up especially if he's crying on and off... I hope you both get some sleep, its not nice not knowing whats wrong! Also get someone else to take over so you can have a break 🙂

but is it normal for them to be up that long that’s what I’m worried about that’s why I think something wrong but she goes to the doctor tomorrow I’m definitely bring it up I will have to try the white noise I just hold her rock her I tried swaddling I tried everything fr

I would say its unusual for them to be up that long. I think you've done the sensible thing and getting her checked, but its possible that she may just be really overtired. She will eventually sleep :) I'm no expert but just from my experience I had no idea what to do in the early days too, have a look at wake windows by age its a good guide so your baby doesnt get too overtired! Good luck and remember you're doing well 😊

yes that’s the exact thing I’m goin through and I gave her a bath also day before yesterday she fell asleep not long after she ate but didn’t do bath yesterday and was up till almost 5 lol I’m goin just try a routine as well now she’s been sleep all day only waking to eat message me

so do u think instead her just sitting here sleeping all day I’m letting her wake on her own right now to eat should I be waking her up more often instead letting her sleep Al day ? Because right now she’s sleeping and just getting up in her own to eat should I be waking her every two hours or hour

You can try waking up more during the day to combat this day night confusion as it sounds like she sleeps really well during the day.

Does she take a pacifier? I fed to sleep and would swap out my boob with a pacifier and that helped. We also started a loose routine around this time. Nothing too crazy but the same steps every night so she got the idea that it's time for longer sleep.

Oh and I highly recommend brown or pink noise to white noise. I have my LO on thunderstorms and now she isn't scared of real thunder.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
