Anyones baby still not talking ? He’ll be 14 months at the end of September. Does babble , stopped saying mamma and dadda. And the occasional time that he does say it , it has no meaning. Voiced my concern to pediatrician and she said don’t worry until 18m but my gut is telling me to worry. He also shakes his head side to side a lot just for fun and it’s still hit or miss with him responding to his name. He went through a phase of not responding at all, then responding instantly now it’s hit or miss.

perfectly normal! 💕 def overreacting ! i would get a new pediatrician tho if you don’t feel comfortable trusting yours…

normal

Same here with my little girl like spot on ! She turned 1 July 30th nd she has no desire to talk I’ve mocked words to her and still nothing she’s walking/running all over the place wondering what my next steps are !

I dont think theyre supposed to be talking at 14 months

Mine is also 14mo and is going through the exact same thing as yours, he does respond to his name tho, but does the head thing and just babbles. I think what made my concerns bigger was reading how other moms are already sending their babies to therapy even tho doctors says it’s normal, once they hit 18m and you see no change, maybe you can start worrying. Just remember how when they were little, they had huge changes overnight, i think this is one of those things that will happen at the 18m mark. But don’t worry momma, we’re doing what we can as best as we can.

My boy is almost 15 months old and is still not talking. He’ll be 14 months corrected though. My pediatrician recommended speech therapy for us.

It's definitely normal in my experience. My little one is doing some of the same things. They're still so little at this age and their brains all develop at different rates. I know for me I am trying to concentrate on enjoying these last few weeks of her being a baby before she becomes a Toddler 🥲

My boy is 14 months old and he's very vocal and at times he's not there days he don't talk or make any noise at all but it's completely normal and with calling them there name sometimes it takes them a bit too understand there name my son is like this as well and I've called and talk too his doctor about it and she said completely normal most baby's don't start talking until about 2 years old max but most kids learn and develop differently from others .

Mine isn't talking. Similar over here where he was saying Mama and Dada sometimes. Mama seems to usually mean "I want..." more than anything. He happily babbles and that's pretty much it.
Also, I find my little one's language sort of comes and goes. I think he focuses on different things. Right now he's super focused on walking so he's not really working on language at all.
Mine sometimes responds to his name. Half the time I think it's more the tone of my voice than anything...
Maybe look up fun games to work on language with your little one. Nice simple ones you can repeat a couple times a day.
I play a lot of games with my little one on the changing pad. It helps him stay still and not wiggle around and it's nice cause there are fewer other distractions. I sing songs and play games. We played a sharing game (I ask for the toy, say thank you and give the toy back) when I was worried about that developmental milestone.

I would keep talking to your little one about LITERALLY EVERYTHING as much as you can. Something kind of funny that worked for me with helping my little one sat "ma ma" more consistently is I went into a room that had really good echo and said "ma ma" so she could hear herself when she said it back. She really loves doing this technique!

Mine is 14 months almost 15 and same

One thing I've loved that is supposed to help with a bunch of different things that is really easy to implement. Do you have a nice big mirror at floor level somewhere for your little one? Think of it like a mirror in a gym or dance studio for babies. They can practice talking, crawling, sitting, walking etc in it. Mine loves talking to himself in it in the mornings. I know at this point it's still baby babble, but it's really supposed to help cause they can watch their mouth as they are forming sounds.
(This is not too rush development, but my goal for my little one has been to make his environment conducive to learning and let him pick the pace)

Mine does the same. He’s started whining when pointing, and words he used to say he doesn’t much say them anymore. He recently began to say Hi, but not much else. 🫠

The only thing my son says is uh-oh and shakes his head for no. Doesn't even call me mama yet!

No advice but everything except the head shaking has happened with my 7/13 baby. I try not to worry but still do. 😕

He’s only 14 months old he will talk in his own time my daughter wasn’t talking properly till about 18 months and even then it wasn’t properly was a few different words and more frequent 🙂

I agree with the person above suggesting Ms Rachel! My 14 month old loves her and has been able to pick up some words from her. It’s nice too because parents can mimic how she speaks/teaches and use that day to day to help

Thankyou everyone ❤️❤️❤️
