Good Start or Enfamil

My daughter has been breastfeeding since birth. I tried the Enfamil powder once she didn't show any interest, but the ready to serve she would drink it, but it's too expensive. I've never tried Good start formula. I'm more familiar with the Enfamil. That was what I gave to my older daughter when she was a baby. As for my son, I breastfed him till he turns 1 and half. I would like to know if anyone knew the difference between those 2, please. I'm going back to work soon. I need to start introducing her to the formula. Please 🙏 n thank you.

I’ve tried both. My first son like Enfamil more and my second drinks good start, I don’t think there’s much of a difference they’re both great options. Maybe do a side by side of ingredients next time you’re at the store. There’s also different types for each brand so if she didn’t like the regular Enfamil maybe try the other options. One thing I did notice is my second poops a lot easier on good start than my first did on Enfamil

@Heather-Michelle Oh, ok... thank you so much... I'm going to the store now and will do a side by side.

@sheenu Guglani I've tried it since she was days old, because my breast milk wasn't flowing much, she didn't want to take it at all, she would prefer to cry herself back to sleep.

My daughter did good start for a while and liked it. She was fine. I find it a bit awkward to prepare cuz you can't prepare it in batches. If you're looking for a good deal and have a Costco membership, the Kirkland brand is the best for your money and it's the same as similac I think or enfamil I can't remember which

Just curious (not judging), why do you need to switch your LO to formula? By the time you go back to work, you can just transition her to cows milk.

@Grace I went to the store and got the good start.. she loves it...

@Melissa I'm going back in November.. she will b 10 months. I took my maternity leave early. November will make it a year

@Queen Lala you still don't need to feed formula. You can pump and bottle feed. At 10 months you can also transition to cow milk. There are also Facebook groups called human milk for human babies and people are donating their excess frozen milk.

Those are just other options. But if you feel formula is the best choice then you do what is best for you and your baby.

Good luck with back to work. 🫶

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
