First night put baby to bed without me!

Feeing very anxious as put out 14 week daughter to bed upstairs without us for the first time tonight! Keep checking the monitor to check she is breathing and feeling a bit lost!

However where this is our second I feel like I need my evening back for some time for me.

Anyone else been putting them upstairs to bed before you go up?

We do. We put LG to bed at 6 then we go up at 9. She also naps in her nursery. I was so anxious when we first started doing it and literally couldn’t take my eyes off the monitor but it does get easier xx

I’ve only just started at almost 20 week. I miss her when she‘a upstairs ☹️

I’ve been doing it for about 4 weeks. Only for an hour and half but just gives me that wind down time at night that I need to be able to fall asleep better and be a more chilled mum the next day. For the first days I literally watched the monitor the whole time 😂

I do! He’s in the next to me from about 8, and we go up between 10-11. I have the monitor and check him every 30 mins or so

Not upstairs because our bedroom is next to the lounge. But we have been closing the door and staying up 2 hours with the monitor on and its been bliss actually

We’ve been doing it for the last 3 weeks now, LB is 14 weeks and it’s honestly been the best thing for us all. We would battle with him at night to get him to sleep, then any noise we made woke him up and we didn’t get our own time in an evening. Now bedtimes are so much easier. Depending when he last wakes up from a nap bedtime routine can start from 630-7 and he’s normally asleep latest 7,30. Couldn’t have done it without a monitor with us but so glad we did. I don’t turn the monitor off at any point now when he’s upstairs or into sleep mode x

We have tonight for the first time as we have my sis in law staying, so wanted to stay up a bit later than usual 😅 LO is 15 weeks and we have the monitor on

Great to hear that I’m not the only one. Was concerned that everyone says wait for 6months. Was so nice to have a evening and she slept so much better!

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
