Inappropriate behavior from my 5 year old

My daughter just started kindergarten a month ago and I have already had 2 complaints about my daughters behavior. The teacher has told me that my daughter has been hitting, kissing, and calling other kids bad names and she has showed off her private parts. Ever since she was three I have taught her NOT to do things like this. Have any of you had to deal with this and if so, what did you tell your kids to stop this behavior?

Thank you in advance!

Tharapy would work see it as a behavioral therapy and a guide

Would help you how to manage it and show her how to when that happens (:

Has she always shown this behaviour before starting Kindergarten? This sounds like a behaviour a therapist can help most and at the earliest. She just needs to understand what is appropriate and otherwise xx

no she hasn't. Even when she was in preschool this never happened.

Not to trigger but just sharing from personal experience. Being a SA survivor myself I had been through something similar. I did show my private part and asked to see that of a boy who sat next to me in kindergarten. I was being sa at home by my brother but I thought it was a play. So I wanted to play the same way with my friend and specially the one that I was friends with. Now when teachers complained my parents got really mad and that made me scared and rather than telling them why I had done this in the first place I did not speak anything and understood that this is trouble. My brother had always beaten me and only letting him “play” the fun game was when I would not get beaten up. Over the years I pushed this memory and the abuse back into deep memory and kind of forgot. It only surfaced last few years when I started teaching these things to my grade 1 daughter. Everything came back to me and started making sense. Long story short just make sure no one around you or your daughter

2: Around ur daughter there is no one trying to do something or grooming her to believe it’s normal. May be a therapist can help.

My daughter does things that concern me she is 5 and just started kindergarten she doesn't show he private but she does try to kiss and she talks about wanting boyfriends and acts like she is 16 she also rubs on her butt and private sometimes at night she is not been sa i was as a child and i make sure nothing happens could be things they watch idk i have asked people some say there daughter does the same little girls are different. Maybe do counseling I've thought about it kids act out over attention a lot too. Maybe talk to her again and tell her you're not mad just want her to be a little girl and she has a long time until she is grown feel free to message me i understand how you feel.

I'd make sure there isn't a darker reason behind her behavior. We are all terrified of our kids being groomed or SA-ed but it is the least likey scenario.

I would speak with them, make sure they're being treated properly, then once you know that they are, you can adress the behavior.

They may just be curious, have excess energy, be feeling anxious or angry about something else maybe a change in their lives. Could be a lot of things, best course of action is to just talk to them. Make sure they know they're safe with you and they won't be in trouble of anything if they tell you about anything.

Hopefully she is not learning it from someone who might have been trusted to care for her . Please take this seriously and do all you can for your baby. It’s good you made this post which means you have chosen not to ignore the behaviour and take steps to help her . She would be fine , all she needs is therapy and a follow up from you to be sure she’s back on track. Sending my prayers and thoughts to you and your little one

your story is a strong one and a lot of people can learn from your experience. I love that you are confident about sharing it x

thank you! honestly I wrote this message here three times and deleted it , thinking to ignore this chat but then I remembered how suffocated I felt then as a kid and today as an adult. So I thought of sharing it….

Try and investigate why she’s doing it and what/who caused it. This isn’t normal behaviour and there’s no bill people in this world 💔

With SA, there's few people around her. I don't have a big family and she's already told me nobody has touched her. She told me she did because she wanted to go home. I told her next time don't do that and just let the teacher know you want to go home.

you did well. Your story is a message to teach others and help better their lives . I do not know you personally but I have been in similar shoes although not with a biological relative , I know how difficult sharing such stories can be and I am so proud of you . Well done x

Is this normal?

Is it just my husband that does this? He is able to work from home via his computer and in the mornings and evenings he is on there doing his job. When he is done for the day he tends to stay in the room and either play video games or watch something. He will occasionally come out and play with the girls for a few minutes and that’s it but when I really need him he says he is busy. My daughters are both 1 year old now and I am just wondering how much involvement should he have with them now?
Idk if this is the norm or not…..

Saying NO to buying toys etc

5 year old is getting really envious of others. He is obsessed with items that other kids have at school. I am pestered daily to buy these things in a different style when we already have 3 others. I have seen parents just buying stuff their kid likes which I don't necessarily agree with even when i can afford it. How do you deal with it?

Identity crisis?

Am I the only sahm who feels like they have lost their identity??? I don’t make money for my family, when I used to make great money. But I refuse to drop my under a year old baby off with strangers.
My husband works so much. But I have no control over bringing in money and I’m a control freak type of person! I feel l like I’m losing my grip because we are kind of broke, but day care would only eat up my income anyways! So what’s the point. I’m a workaholic and now I’m just a twitching bum.
I wish I could work from home but so far that’s a fake dream. I’m almost 9 months pp, and I just need to know these awful mood swings and depression will end soon! Send wine!

Daycare?

Thoughts on daycare?? Truly, I am SCARED to be leaving my kid for daycare. I literally do not trust anyone, not even family (they haven’t given me a reason it’s just trust issues on my end, you never know). He’s turning 3 and I’ve been a sahm the whole time but tbh my man doesn’t make enough for us to move out somewhere more calm . We live in a ‘not so safe’ area in LA and I’m just not used to living here so I just want us to give my son a better life and in order to speed up the process I would have to work.. I do lashes at home and I’d be open to take new clients so I wouldn’t have to look for work but I’m just scared to lose my license 😭
