The video isn’t fast forwarded or anything. He does this when he’s falling asleep. My first never did it as she never fell asleep on her own.
Is his head movement normal? And is it okay for him to do?

This is funny because I’ve literally just recorded my daughter and sent it to a friend to say I find it weird how she self soothes as my first never did. It’s normal x

My LB will do it and then put his hands in his mouth. It’s a form of self soothing :). Aren’t babies weird, I couldn’t think of anything worse than thrashing around to help me sleep
😂 x

My turns his head from side to side whilst falling asleep too x

God, the thrashing and wierd grunting noises were really terrifying at first!!!!
Mine still does this at 12 weeks. Less grunting though thank goodness!!!

Yes my baby does the same 😅

It’s a classic self settling technique, along with slamming down legs so watch out for that too! A sigh baby is doing what they need to in order to self settle, well done xx

the grunting has finally stopped completely! It’s this and the thrashing!

oh yes the leg bashing! I was so confused.. I thought he had gas or something and it was bothering him! He randomly does it in the middle of the night and I get worried he’s gonna wake himself up

Mine does the exact same and sometimes throws her legs down on the mattress quite forcefully. I believe these are both self soothing gestures and nothing to worry about.

My LG does this aswell as having her hands covering her eyes, she’s usually asleep within minutes once she starts doing it

It’s the devil 🤣🫣
