Hello
I'm really not enjoying my job at the moment and I also feel like I am missing out on time with my daughter in these last years before she goes to nursery/school. I'm considering taking a career break.
I found maternity leave quite relentless and hard so I am a bit nervous about going back to not working. Do any mums who stay at home have any advice for creating some structure in your day?
I'd also love to hear from other mums who have decided to take a career break and how you came to that decision/what are your plans for getting back to work? It feels scary just walking away from a career I've built over 12 years!

I have just gone down to 2 days a week at work and loving it.
1st day tend to do the shopping and maybe go for breakfast or a piece of cake. Then back for play lunch and nap. Then games and crafts in the afternoon.
2nd day go to a park or meet a friend or something. then same as day before in the afternoon.
Then last day we do crafts or play outside in the morning. Then in the afternoon go to a martial arts type class. Found can only do one treat and one club a week due to cost.
You are right in what you said about not getting this time back, I felt this was my last chance to have quality time with my LO.
She is so much more settled at nursery now and enjoys are time together too.
