Slowly does really work with potty training. There are things you can do be for potty training that can make things easier. Like having the potty round the house and getting him used to just sitting on it so it not a new scary thing. Lots of toilet talk and potty training stories.
Then it looking for his ques that he is ready ie. His nappy staying dry for periods of time. Him known that he has done a poo or wee. But once you go for it you just have to go for it.
I potty trained my eldest at 26 months. He was still nonverbal but would slap the front of his nappy when doing a wee and was starting to hide when doing a poo and then taking me to his changing table when he was done to change him.
We just sat him on the potty one night while he was watching tv he weed and we did lots of clapping and cheering. He went on the potty for the rest of the evening. That was it the potty went everywhere with us then. But be warned you need to be quick getting them to the potty at first. X

thank you 🙏🏼
