Does anybody else’s baby just not want to sit and play?
Now that he’s realised he can get up and hold someone’s hand to walk around he will not sit and play or read a book anything! He is soooo active it’s knackering but just worried it will affect his development if he is not sitting and playing/reading etc?
He barely sleeps and fights like mad when it’s nap or bedtime.
Wakes around 6, has 2 half hour naps in the day and bedtime by 7ish
Anyone else in the same boat or advice please?

Yes, all my baby wants to do is move - crawl, stand, climb etc. He never sits down to play in one spot. We do manage to 'read' a book before bed where there's something to touch and move and he's happy with those

My son has been like this for months- as soon as he could crawl there was no stopping him! I would love to sit and read a book with him but he rarely sits still long enough. He's obsessed with doors - open, shut, open, shut!
Don't worry about his development... keep talking to him and as he moves around more, he'll encounter lots of different things and you can chat to him about what he's doing, and he'll be hearing lots of new words which will be great for learning.

Yes it's so knackering he's in all the cupboards now climbs the stairs amd reading a book is a mission I tend to read it loudly whilst he's climbing everywhere in the bedroom 🤣

Yep he's up and down like a yo-yo
