2 year old daughter on the spectrum
Would you say my daughter is non-verbal or verbal? She counts to 10 but she can’t really sound it out all the way, she also says her colors but just the sound of like the first letter I think she needs more help with being able to say sounds. But we lack on communication, I wanna start her on speech therapy, can any mom on here tell me if theirs a significant difference with speech therapy and did it help your child.

My son 2 and is in speech therapy. There has been a huge difference. It wont feel.like it at 1st but now he is more willing to try and say new words and is up to words with 2 syllables.
She sounds preverbal. My daughter started speech therapy when she was nearly 5 unfortunately due to covid plus the Uk don’t tend to refer until age 3. It’s made a huge difference with her. For her I think it’s the undeveloped muscles in her mouth.
Your daughter sounds vernal to me. My daughter was the same way when she was 2 ( but non verbal) the first week of starting speach therapy was such a difference. My daughter was not only verbal, but saying things like "you're silly) when beeps it was just jibberish coming out. My daughter is also autistic.

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?
