breastfeeding to formula

how did you mamas handle the change? i switched my newborn to formula only due to the fact i'm not producing as much as he needs. we were originally breastfeeding in the day and formula overnight but today was the first day i made the switch since i was only able to pump an ounce out of each breast today. my entire pregnancy i told myself i wouldn't be upset if we ever had to do formula instead of breastfeeding but i can't stop being hard on myself (probably postpartum hormones)

i'm also a single FTM so it's been hard trying to pump after his feeds since it's just him and i most times

im not very good with pumping consistently but when I do i get my milk supply to go up to be enough for the day. I breastfeed in betwen for “snack” coz he clusterfeeds rn. They said just keep pumping evey 3hrs or so to get supply up there

I felt like I failed as a mom at first and couldn’t stop thinking about it feeling ashamed, but quickly realized as long as my baby is fed, happy, & healthy it doesn’t matter breast or formula fed.

For sure what MK said. As long as your baby is fed and happy and healthy it doesn’t matter if it’s formula.

I wanted to exclusively BF & pump for our little guy and I just don’t have the supply for it nor do I have the capacity to keep getting up and pumping with how much it hurts, and, how difficult it was for him to latch on at first because he did have a tongue tie even after getting that fixed it’s been a struggle. I get him the Kendamil formula from Target and it’s incredibly close to breastmilk, and he loves it.

PPD does a number on you, and really adds a whole new layer to “you’re not good enough” but you really actually are!!

I stopped breastfeeding due to personal reasons hormones everywhere and felt myself being in a depressed state and that was two weeks and days in I did feel bad and selfish and was hard on myself I even asked my mom if I wanted will I be able to start back again but at the same time I can’t handle the pain of breastfeeding or pumping plus my baby seemed as if she was eating way more then what I could pump like I felt as I was pumping a good amount but she eats a lot so it’s like it wasn’t enough at the same time but she honestly have been great with the transition really not bad at all I also I frozen breast milk that I will try to give here between her months as she go but i only have like 5 lol but as long as your baby is happy and healthy it doesn’t even matter long as you and you’re baby are okay

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
