Does anyone just feel sad when they leave baby at grandparents house? My parents are amazing and loving and everything that you could imagine but when we dropped him off to go on a date night last night for my two year anniversary with my fiancé I felt incredibly sad because I feel as if I know him the best and I know what he needs when no one else doesn’t.

I feel you!! My mom just arrived last night to stay with us for 2 months to help take care of baby and then watch her in November when I go back to work and I'm really struggling. I know it's just the first day and my daughter needs time to adjust but I just want to take her and take care of her because I know what she needs best. I think it's normal as a (new) mom to feel that way and at the end of the day we DO know what's best for our babies because we know them best and spend the majority of our time with them. But it helps to understand that our parents raised us and knew exactly what to do and that they love their grandbabies so so so much and love spending time with them. Plus it's important to also focus on ourselves sometimes and just know that baby is safe.
